Breast Augmentation Dr. Belalcazar uses the Mentor MemoryGel™ silicone breast implant. These implants feature a unique, cohesive silicone, not a liquid or semi-liquid and is held together uniformly while retaining the natural give that resembles normal female breast tissue. How is the procedure performed? Dr. Belalcazar uses the tumescent technique of anesthesia where only the chest wall is numbed. Oral and intramuscular medication is also given. Once numbed the doctor will make a semicircular incision in the crease of the breast and will carry his disconnections all the way down to the chest wall muscle known as the pectoralis major muscle. This muscle will be opened and a pocket will be made under this muscle. The silicone implant whose size has been chosen by the patient with the help of Dr. Belalcazar will be placed under this muscle. The opening in the muscle will be closed with an absorbable suture. The breast tissue will be closed also with absorbable suture and then a small suture will be used to close the incision. Dressings will be applied and a special supportive bra will be given the following day. Saline vs. Silicone Implants Saline implants have a silicone rubber shell that is inflated to the desired size with sterile saline. Most implants have a valve that is easily sealed by the surgeon. Silicone implants have a silicone rubber shell that is filled with a fixed amount of silicone gel. Each implant has a patch that covers the manufacturing port of the implant. Silicone implants vary in shell surface (smooth/textured), shape, profile, volume, shell thickness, and number of shell lumens. Most silicone gel-filled implants are not adjustable.
Mesotherapy Desire Laser & Medical Spa™ is proud to be among the first to offer the revolutionary mesotherapy - the latest breakthrough in fat, cellulite reduction, and hair regrowth. Mesotherapy is the most successful cellulite reduction treatment available today. Mesotherapy is a treatment that stimulates the mesoderm, or middle layer of skin, which in turn improves cellulite and spot reduction. The technique involves the injection of a customized blend of medications, along with vitamins and supplements to stimulate cellulite within the mesoderm. How it Works The medications that are used in Mesotherapy melt fat beneath the skin and shrink the fat cells in the scarpa’s fascia layer. The fat dissolves and, as it occurs when fat is broken down during typical weight loss, is carried through the blood stream and excreted by kidneys and bowel movement. Cellulite is caused by connective tissue bands that hold down the skin, trapping the fat and thereby causing the “dimpling” effect. The medications used in Mesotherapy help to destroy the connective tissue bands and melt trapped fat, creating a smooth, dimple- free appearance. Hair regrowth for thinning hair uses tiny micro-injections and places hair stimulating solutions and vitamins into the scalp at the hair follicle, which sit on the scalp and do not reach the hair follicle.
Tattoo Removal The removal of tattoos at Desire Laser & Medical Spa™ is performed by Dr. Belalaczar and assisted by a MedLite Laser. The Medlite Laser is the best laser for permanently removing tattoos from any part of the body. To start this process lidocaine is injected to numb the area being treated. In some instances a topical anesthetic may be applied. The sensation the patient feels may be interpreted as warm and/or sharp. Goggles are always worn by the patient and the doctor throughout the procedure. Pulses of light from the laser are directed onto the tattoo breaking up the tattoo pigment within the skin. Over the next couple of weeks the cells in your body will slowly begin to remove the pigmented cells of the tattoo within the epidermis. Multiple treatments will be needed to achieve significant or desired results. After the Procedure The area treated will look like a wound after the treatment, form a scab and then eventually fall off. The doctor strongly recommends a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher to be used if area treated must be exposed to the sun. Apply Neosporin or an antibiotic ointment to the area to keep any type of infection at bay. Some scarring or color variations are likely to be left behind no matter what type of removal method is used. Healing time varies on the size and coloration of the tattoobeing treated.
